Slim Down Saturday January 18th

Week three is here! How did it go for you? Did you stick to your goal for the week?
It has been a rough (emotionally) week (well rough two weeks) for me back at school. And honestly, I MAY have worked out two times, but I can't even remember. The good news is that I didn't GAIN weight.
Ultimate goal: I want to lose 25-30 pounds by the time I turn 30 on May 10th. I want to feel good about myself going into my 30s. If I lose 25lbs I will be about what I weighed when we got married. 30lbs will be the exact weight. I look back at the pictures from 2009 and think to myself "and you thought you needed to lose weight then?!"

Gain/Loss for the week: None

Total since starting: -3.6lbs

Positives from the week: Managed to not binge which I tend to do when stressed. And even though I didn't work out more than twice, I didn't GAIN weight. Phew!

Something to do better: Get back to working out and drink more water. I think that water one is going to be here for a while. I am just awful about drinking throughout the day.

Goal for next week: Work out 4x during the week.

I found a new wordle for this week...
And my one word: (ok two) Better Body- The ultimate goal here is for me to be happy with the way my body looks.. which means I want a better body. Not for superficial reasons, but to be happy with myself.

Another week down in the books! I look forward to seeing everyone's progress! Here is your blank template. (A tip- click the image to enlarge it before copying or saving it.)
My husband is actually off on a Saturday (BIG deal for us) so we will be spending some time together, but I will be sure to check in with everyone throughout the day.

  1. I stayed exactly the same this week too. It can be discouraging, but then I think that at least I'm still down from the beginning. Think positive for this week! Exercise might help with the emotional stress.

  2. I love the wordle poster for this week. Thanks for sharing! I FINALLY started drinking more water this week. I have this huge water bottle on my desk to remind me to drink water. Some of my students even gave me a bit of a hard time if they spotted a soda on my desk instead of the water. Good luck this week!

  3. Looks like we had a similar week - no loss or gain and a lot of stress! Here's to a better upcoming week!

  4. Hey Gina! Bravo to not eating through the stress! That is an accomplishment in itself! I am right there with ya' on the water thing - I just...don'! Maybe I need to spice it up with lemon or something!

  5. Well done Gina! I'm glad you are not beating yourself up about your stressful week, look at the positives, you didn't stress eat and you still managed two workouts. Hope things work themselves out, we're rooting for you!

  6. Keep up the great work Gina. I will link up with you soon. I struggle with binge-eating when I am stressed too. Being a teacher means lots of opportunities for stress too, so way to go! Stay strong!

  7. Keep on truckin', Gina! You've got this!!! Some weeks you might not lose any and that is OKAY! Still proud of you!!!

  8. You are doing great! Avoiding a binge is a big accomplishment in my book! I don't know about you, but binges are what got me here, in the first place! So, WTG! Water, water, water! It's so hard to get water in during the day, while working! My first recess isn't until I know I can't drink much water during class time! I try to drink a lot of water at night...and hot tea! It's a struggle for me, too!
Thank you so much for hosting this linky!!!

  10. I struggle with eating through the stress as well, and drinking enough water is SO hard when you're not used to it. Even though we don't keep other beverages at home, I still don't get enough water. Somehow I'm not dehydrated all the time, but I know it would help.
